Are you ready to rock out with TMTG?  Grab your widest shoulder pads and the biggest can of hairspray you can find, as we present hit comedy-musical, The Wedding Singer.

Based on the classic movie of the same name, The Wedding Singer will transport you back to 1985: a time when hair was big, music was loud and money was everything.  Robbie Hart, a small-town wedding singer is engaged to marry the love of his life, but fate has other plans.  Meanwhile, will Julia Sullivan, a cheerful if slightly naïve waitress ever marry her slimy boyfriend Glen and fulfil her dream of becoming Mrs Julia Guglia?  Featuring a totally awesome 1980s score, this show is sure to leave you with a smile on your face and a head full of catchy tunes.

As a well-respected wedding singer, Robbie Hart knows a lot about love and romance.  In fact, he's engaged to be married himself, to his wonderful fiancée, Linda.  At the same time, waitress Julia Sullivan can't wait to get engaged to her wealthy, Wall Street boyfriend Glen.  Unfortunately, everything goes catastrophically wrong for poor Robbie when he is abandoned at the altar.

Determined to make everybody else's wedding as miserable as his own, Robbie's career looks likely to take a nosedive.  With the help of his friends, Sammy and George, Robbie begins to rebuild his life, while Julia begins to wonder whether her now fiancé Glen really is "the one".

Twists and turns abound in Robbie and Julia's classic love story, aided by a host of supporting characters, including some uncanny celebrity look-alikes!

Directorial Debut

Our Director of "The Wedding Singer" Jo Hachani is making her directorial debut with the show. Here's what she has to say about it:

"I've always been a huge fan of the film version of "The Wedding Singer" so that piqued my interest in the show straight away. But I first got really excited about directing when I heard the music - there so many different 80s styles covered throughout. Plus, all of the humour from the original movie has translated beautifully to the stage - with extra gags dropped in! I can't wait to see my ideas brought to life by our amazingly talented cast.

Are you coming?

Congratulations to everyone involved in the show. Although not exactly our cup of tea we thought the whole thing was very well done. Obviously a great chorus show and I'm sure the cast had a great deal of fun doing it.
