I have just returned home after watching an absolutely amazing first night performance of The Wizard of Oz at The Armstrong Hall. I thought that I had been privileged to see Andrew Lloyd Webber's production in London on its opening night several years ago after the TV search for Dorothy but I can say, hand on heart, that the TMTG production this evening was far superior in every aspect.

The work that has clearly gone into the beautiful costumes, the scenery, the choreography, and the hours of rehearsal for the actors and musicians and the work that goes on behind the scenes and front of house too has resulted in a performance that beat the West End version hands down.

Your performance brought back happy childhood memories of watching the film every Christmas with my family and I hope it has created many happy memories for all of the members of the Thornbury Musical Theatre Group too.

I would like to thank you all for a fantastic evening of entertainment and I wish you all every success for the rest of your performances and your future ventures. My best wishes
