Cats
Thursday, 11 July 2019 to Saturday, 13 July 2019

This summer TMTG Juniors bring you CATS.

Based on T. S. Eliot’s “Old Possum’s Book of Practical Cats” the show is set amongst a larger- than-life junkyard where the Jellicle Cats come out to play on one special night of the year – the night of the Jellicle Ball. One by one they tell their stories to Old Deuteronomy, their wise and thoughtful leader, who must then choose one of the Cats to ascend to The Heaviside Layer and be reborn into a whole new Jellicle life.

The magnificent musical score is composed by Andrew Lloyd Webber and includes the poignant hit song ‘Memory’. Since its first performance in 1981 Cats has been enthralling audiences all over the world.

King Arthur Poster
Wednesday, 20 February 2019 to Saturday, 23 February 2019

The world premiere of a brand new pantomime with its central themes based in the realms of the Arthurian legend. Where Arthur, a lowly squire in the court of King Pellinore longs for the love of the beautiful Lady Guinevere. Where the gourmet chef of Pellinore and Guinevere Dame Bisto prepares scrumptious banquets, it could be more efficient to go for a Meal-deal instead, but at least she is trying….. Very trying.

Merlin the time travelling wizard aims to enlighten us with his edification and delights of the modern worlds, whilst arming Arthur with the skills to defeat all evil. Arthurs love for Guinevere takes him on a journey fraught with danger, bringing him directly into the path of the villainous Mordred and his wicked mother Morgan Le Fey (the wicked witch).

IntoTheWoods
Wednesday, 24 October 2018 to Saturday, 27 October 2018

“Be careful what you wish for” seems to be the ongoing theme in Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine’s Brothers Grimm inspired musical, Into the Woods.

The story follows The Baker and his wife who wish to have a child, Cinderella who wishes to go the King’s Festival, and Jack who wishes his cow would give some milk. When the Baker and his wife are visited by the neighbourhood witch, who reveals to them that she placed a curse on their family, the two set off on a journey into the woods to reverse the curse.
